While we cannot control the world around us, or other people, we can choose to take control over our own lives. Choosing therapy can be the start to finding peace and joy. Personally and in our relationships with others.
My approach to therapy is rooted in collaboration, compassion, and respect. I believe that everyone has the capacity for change, and I’m here to support and guide you as you find your path to growth, healing, and authenticity. My goal is to work with you to better understand your experiences, help you develop necessary skills, and ultimately walk with you as you achieve a sense of balance and fulfillment in your life. My training can help you make this journey much more efficient by using proven techniques and practices, ranging from Prepare/Enrich to Solution-Focused Therapy. I recognize that each person that I work with is unique, and I tailor my approach to reflect that by blending techniques to suit your specific needs.
I primarily work with individuals, couples, and families who are looking to improve their relationships. Life is often hard, and challenges in one person’s life can impact those close to them. Our relationships can also develop patterns that become a source of stress. Relationships don’t have to be a drain on your energy or mood. That's why I work with clients to identify and address core issues instead of putting a band-aid over symptoms as they arise. This approach allows clients to take control of their lives back, and develop the skills needed to develop personal satisfaction and form healthy relationships.
Outside of therapy, I love animals, history, and spending time with my family. I was born and raised in the Valley of the Sun, and attended ASU where I was awarded a Bachelors in Psychology. I attended Lipscomb University in Nashville for my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am always learning and using the things I learn to help my clients find better solutions to life’s complexities!
