What are weekly DBT group workshops?

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) group workshops are part of an ongoing program for those who would like to cope more effectively with daily struggles. DBT skills are taught to reduce self-destructive behaviors and learn more adaptive ways to manage painful emotions. These skills include:

  • Mindfulness
  • Emotion Regulation
  • Distress Tolerance
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness

Our DBT Skills groups are wonderful for people seeking a self-help class or just striving for personal development. The teen group is now open to girls and boys ages 12-17 years old! New members welcome. Help your teens or young adult children be more prepared for life by handling emotions, conflict, and stress. It's never too late to learn how to make life more enjoyable and less distressing.

The program costs $40 per session, billed at the beginning of each month. A minimum two month commitment is expected for participants. Most participants will benefit from attending DBT group for 6-12 months or more.

Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly individual sessions are encouraged to coincide with group workshops.
