I am a graduate student and intern at Capella University, pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in working with children and adolescents. My passion for supporting young people was shaped by my previous career as a high school educator and student support advocate, where I saw the profound impact of nurturing emotional well-being during these pivotal developmental years.
Additionally, I hold a specialized certificate in addictive behaviors, equipping me with the expertise to work with individuals and families affected by addiction. This focus reflects my commitment to understanding and addressing the unique challenges of this population, helping clients navigate the complexities of recovery with compassion and resilience.
In addition to my work with children and teens, I am deeply committed to empowering couples. I have a deep passion for couples navigating the challenges of infertility. I strive to provide a compassionate, empathetic space where they can process their experiences and find resilience together.
My approach to therapy is holistic, blending the humanistic principles of Gestalt therapy with the emotional depth of Emotion-Focused Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy to address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
A Little About Me
Outside of my counseling work, I find joy in baking and decorating cakes—creating something beautiful and delicious is my own form of therapy. Creativity holds a large part of my therapeutic identity. I also love escaping into the pages of a good book, letting stories transport me beyond the everyday. Above all, I cherish spending time with my family, who have been my rock and an integral part of my own healing journey. These personal passions and connections fuel my empathy and dedication to helping others find their own paths to growth and healing.
As I complete my training, I am dedicated to fostering healing, self-awareness, and connection for my clients, helping them build the tools they need to thrive through life’s challenges.
