Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right therapist for me?

We recommend scheduling a free 15-minute consultation to meet with a therapist and see if they're a good fit. During this call, you can ask questions about their approach, specialties, and experience to determine if they're right for your needs.

Are all therapists licensed?

Our team includes both fully licensed therapists and interns working toward licensure. Licensed team members hold credentials such as LMFT, LPC, and LCSW in Arizona and/or Utah. Our interns are completing their supervised clinical hours under the guidance of licensed clinicians, providing quality care at a reduced rate.

Can I switch therapists if needed?

Absolutely. Finding the right therapeutic fit is important, and we want you to feel comfortable. If you'd like to try working with a different therapist on our team, just let us know and we'll help make the transition smooth.

Do therapists offer both in-person and telehealth sessions?

Yes! Most of our therapists offer both in-person sessions at our Mesa office and telehealth appointments. You can choose the format that works best for you, and you can even alternate between the two.

What types of therapy approaches do your therapists use?

Our therapists are trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and trauma-informed care. Each therapist's profile includes their specific specialties and approaches.

Can I see a therapist as a couple or family?

Yes! Many of our therapists specialize in couples therapy and family therapy. We can help with relationship issues, parenting challenges, family conflict, and more. Check individual therapist profiles for their specific areas of expertise.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

We understand that life happens. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client and helps us avoid cancellation fees.
